The coffeeshop The coffee shop, on the first floor of the gallery has unparallelled views over the river Tyne and St Mary's Church, Haddington. It has been a popular meeting place for the people of East Lothian for many years and has a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. With seating for approximately 30 people the coffee shop serves light lunches and home baking. The large windows provide a perfect view for watching wildlife. For two years now we have been able to watch a swan nesting in the Spring and the subsequent hatching of the cygnets. Bird watching from the comfort of the coffee shop must take on a whole different meaning to the occupation.
Come, and enjoy a delicious lunch, with spectacular views, surrounded by exciting contemporary art. There is no disabled access to the first floor coffee shop. However, we are child friendly, have high chairs a toy box and baby changing facilities. All the crockery in the coffee shop is made by the potter Marg Hall and is available to purchase. |
Our lunch menu includes home made soup, baked potatoes,
paninis, and daily specials. The home baking is a particular feature
with favourites including chocolate brownies, coffee cake and lemon
drizzle cake.
