Sharon King was recently described as a 'national treasure' by the Scottish Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, and in 2011 was the winner of Edinburgh Folk Clubs annual song writing competition. Sharon performs exquisitely melodious country/folk, a delightful and tender mix of north of the border reflections and Stateside prairie.
Jani Lang and Graeme Stephen
7 – 9pm, Fri 14 October, £10.
Scottish jazz guitar master Graeme Stephen and Hungarian fiddle virtuoso Jani Lang join forces to create one of the hottest folk/jazz fusions on the scene. Balkan tunes mixed with the finest jazz improvisation make for fascinating listening.
